Sale includes the front end website which is running the latest version of WordPress and the Phpbb based community forum. Along with a 2000 user mailing list, associated .co.uk domain and 12 months hosting. This is a pretty low maintenance site. Posting of articles to the front end can be done once or twice a month and takes around 30minutes. The forum pretty much runs itself. There is a team of six global moderators who keep things in order and the rest is taken care of by members. At the moment there are no expenses at all for the site as I host it myself on my reseller account. 12 months hosting comes with the site but were you paying for it you would be looking at approx £35 per year. I think some of the potential marketing opportunities for a future owner would be: Increase the Adsense content and optimise it Sell goods and services via the mailing list Sell Merchandising. T-shirts via 3rd party at no cost to the owner. Competitions to promote affiliate products Context based advertising I'm sure there are more experienced marketeers out there who could think up other ways to monetise the site but the above are what I would do were I keeping it. Content on the forum is 100% unique as it is generated by the members. The WP content is partially created by me so those articles are unique. The rest is a mixture of press releases which I get direct from Yamaha, Roland, Korg, Native Instruments etc and news from around the web. The latter only really because if I were to write every single article myself I would not have time to do anything else. Were I independently wealthy of course I would be happy to write each article myself. The archives on the site go back as far as 2004 so there is a wealth of information available, much of it not available elsewhere. I should point out that I recently migrated the site from it's original yamahaforums.co.uk domain to the yamahamusicians.com domain. The migration was done correctly with 301 redirects in place so all existing Google Links work fine. There was an expected dip in traffic but this is picking up again.
