Background I met with a couple of timber frame supplier based in the North of England and the plan was to generate leads for these people for a % of the sale price. After 12 months of SEO the website started to generate significant traffic volumes through a couple of keywords. Therefore I created them a separate website that just sells timber frame to the construction industry. This works fine and generates a couple of enquiries a week. they have now purchased the website and I am left with a lead gen site with no time to make it into a real business. The www.flatpackhouses.co.uk website still generates a few types of enquiries every day! 1) Kitchen Extensions 2) Brochure Download 3) Architect requests 4) Builder requests 5% of enquiries send approved plans, have budget approved and are ready to go. 20% of enquiries are just shopping around for ideas (brochure download) 40% of enquiries want a local builder to come and see them about a kitchen extension 15% of these are people that want to build a timber frame house. The rest is a mixture of Garden Pods, new builds, help with plot finding etc... Revenue to date I managed to sell leads for £1000 a month to a Garden office / Pod developer however it became apparent that he has the same problems as my existing supplier and cancelled after 4 months. Historic Data/Leads Suggestions Look at ranking in Google for self build homes, timber frame homes, self build architects & more related keywords. I reckon you could get up to 3000 visits a day. Promote Guest posts to PR agencies or Home Improvement clients. (We have 1000s in the directory)
